Ruwa Local Board is delighted to welcome on board Engineer Madelene Makombe-Pfuwayi who joins Council as Town Engineer with effect from 1 December 2023.
Engineer Pfuwayi brings a wealth of experience from various sectors which will be beneficial to Ruwa Local Board and holds a Degree in Civil and Water Engineering from NUST and an Executive Masters in Business Administration with MSU. She is a registered professional Civil and Water Engineer with ECZ and ZIE as a corporate member
She started her career at ZPC Hwange Power Station as a Civil Engineer Intern. She went on to work for Mutare City Council as a Graduate Engineer. She later joined UNOPS as the Associate Civil Engineer in resposnse to the Cyclone Idai. The Engineer later joined TelOne as the Clerk of Works where she managed properties owned and rented by TelOne.
From there, she then joined Tsapo Group of companies as the Group Civil Engineer/Project Manager; a position she held before joining Ruwa Local Board.
